Sia Unveils “Dance Alone,” Her New Album Reasonable Woman, a Collaboration with Kylie Minogue.

The pop icon’s tenth studio album, which has a number of A-list partners, is scheduled for release on May 5.

Sia is back with a brand-new studio album after almost ten years away!

The 48-year-old pop icon revealed on Wednesday that Atlantic Records will release her eagerly anticipated 10th studio album, Reasonable Woman, on May 3. Her first official full-length album since 2016’s This Is Acting is this project.

The Grammy-nominated musician has assembled an impressive group of collaborators for the 15-track project, including Paris Hilton, Chaka Khan, Jimmy Jolliff, Kaliii, Kylie Minogue, Labrinth, and Tierra Whack.

The album announcement and her new single, “Dance Alone,” featuring the 55-year-old Minogue, arrived on Wednesday.

The two celebrities are seen wanting to let go on the dance floor in the sleek dance track because it makes them feel liberated, powerful, and far from a relationship that is weighing them down.

The stars duet on the chorus, which is set to a shimmering, pulsating beat that will undoubtedly entice listeners to the dance floor themselves: “I just wanna dance alone, I ain’t ever goin’ home / I just wanna dance alone / I just wanna dance alone / I just wanna lose my phone / I just wanna dance alone.”

The two Australian musicians are back together for “Dance Alone.” They had previously collaborated on two tracks from the “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” singer’s 2014 album Kiss Me Once.

In reference to Minogue’s album Tension from 2023, she captioned the photo, writing, “The tension’s building 😉.”

Last week, Sia made the official announcement of “Dance Alone.” On Tuesday, she congratulated Minogue on Instagram for winning the Grammy for best pop dance recording with “Padam Padam” at the awards ceremony on Sunday.

She captioned a photo of the two pop stars jumping in the air, saying, “Our hearts are going padam, padam for @kylieminogue and her Grammy win 💓 can’t wait for everyone to hear Dance Alone on Wednesday!”

Along with revealing the release of Reasonable Woman, Sia also revealed the album’s cover art, which features the singer-songwriter sitting next to a young child with pink bows in their hair. Sia is wearing her trademark oversized blonde wig, which covers most of her face. This time, the singer of “Cheap Thrills” has a curly wig that almost looks like the hair of a doll and matches the blonde tone of her feathered outfit.

The upcoming album will also include engineering, co-writing credits, and production from A-list musicians and actors, including Rosalía, Jesse Shatkin, Greg Kurstin, Benny Blanco, bülow, Mark “Spike” Stent, and more, according to a press release.

Reasonable Woman will be Sia’s first official solo release, despite the fact that she has released new music in the eight years since This Is Acting. She released the popular Christmas album Everyday Is Christmas in 2017 and, most recently, co-wrote and sang the soundtrack to her directorial debut, Music – Songs from and Inspired by the Motion Picture.
